FKM and EPDM seals
When it comes to applying concentrated or diluted acids in the pH range from 1 to 7 , the devices with FKM seals are the right ones.
They are also suitable for working with oil or chlorinated hydrocarbon-containing agents.
When it becomes basic , EPDM seals are used in our syringes.
EPDM is the abbreviation for ethylene-propylene-diene (monomer) rubber . The material consists of a high-quality, rubber-elastic, synthetic elastomer made of very long, saturated and highly stable molecular chains, namely the macromolecules ethylene, propylene and diene.
Alcohols and bases in the pH range of 7 to 14 do not cause any problems for the material.
Products for cleaning and disinfection in alkaline and acidic areas
The following products with the name suffix B and FB were equipped with EPDM seals :
– SOLO CLEANLine 301 B and 302 B hand sprayers
– SOLO CLEANLine 305 B and 307 B pressure sprayers
– SOLO CLEANLine 301 FB and 309 FB foam sprayer
Our SOLO models 301 B and 302 B from the CLEANLine have a high-quality EPDM seal that is suitable for alkaline or alcohol-containing agents in the pH range 7-14.
The light and very robust container is resistant to UV radiation and, thanks to the large opening and clearly visible scale, enables precise and easy filling of the hand sprayer. They are perfect if you want to effectively remove stubborn enemies such as fats, oils and protein residues in the kitchen, when cleaning glass or cleaning cars. They are also suitable for the use of alkaline pre-cleaners, disinfectants and insect removers.
The following sprayers were equipped with FKM seals for the pH range 1-7 :
- SOLO 301 A and 302 A hand sprayers
- SOLO 305 A and 307 A pressure sprayers
- SOLO 301 FA and 309 FA foam sprayer

When cleaning requires treating surfaces with a longer exposure time, our foam sprayers are ideal.
A dry foam stays on the surface for longer. On vertical surfaces, the cleaning agent does not flow off as quickly. This significantly improves the cleaning effect. Depending on the type of foam cleaner to be applied, you can choose from models with FKM and EPDM seals.
